UNO's Message

Upazila administration is an important and traditional administrative level of the government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. This is the lowest level of government administration. The Upazila Nirbahi Officer acts as a bridge between the government and the people as a representative of the central government. The main responsibility of the upazila administration is to implement the policies adopted by the government at the field level and to coordinate all development activities. Besides, it is the responsibility of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer to make the needs of the local people visible to the government and to take care of the people. In addition to direct government responsibilities, the upazila administration aims to accelerate local development by coordinating the upazila level departments, maintaining communication between the local government bodies and the central government. Kaunia is one of the upazilas of Rangpur district. The traditional river Teesta flows spirally along its eastern side. The river-flooded town has prospered in agriculture. Haragacha, once famous for tobacco all over the country, is located in this upazila. We are organizing this from the small effort of entering the overall information of Kunia Upazila in the hope that the unfettered door of free flow of information will be opened. If the people of this upazila benefit from this, then this event will be worthwhile and the government's initiative to build a digital Bangladesh will be successful. I am concluding by expressing the belief that this portal will be rich in more information in the future.
